About the Proposal Process

CALL FOR PROPOSALS — DEADLINE: JUNE 15

Thank you for your interest in presenting at Training magazine's Training 2024 Conference & Expo — February 26-28 in Orlando, Florida.

Please submit your innovative how-to, best-practice, and solution-focused proposals on how training, learning, and development can help people and their organizations reach new levels of performance.

The Conference
Training magazine’s Training 2024 Conference & Expo is designed for training professionals who seek to improve their knowledge and skills about workplace learning, including in design, development, implementation, assessment, evaluation, management, leadership, engagement, strategy, and learning technologies.

Participants get the theories and practical how-tos, along with hearing from companies leading the charge for workplace learning. They learn strategies and best practices for designing, deploying, and managing effective training.

The Audience
Training Conference participants are organizational learning professionals from across all industry sectors — including healthcare, manufacturing, finance, transportation, academia, government, military, and business services. Their titles cover the full spectrum of roles — including executives, managers, developers, designers, facilitators, and project managers.

Who You Are
In-the-trenches learning professionals, consultants, authors and vendors from corporations, academia, nonprofits, government, and military.

Your Proposal
Your proposal should include a strong emphasis on how training is successfully designed, developed, and delivered to enhance the learner knowledge and skills, align learning outcomes to business results, and report relevant data. The proposal should also include:
  • A specific, descriptive title (12-word limit).
  • A clear, concise, specific description (200-word limit)
  • 3-5 performance-based outcomes or objectives.
  • A one-sentence synopsis of the session.
  • Session level, intended audience, and content categories.
The Details
  • Primary speaker receives one complimentary conference registration ($1,995 value).
  • Up to two co-presenters receive a 50% conference registration discount. Note: Co-presenter(s) must register for the conference.
  • Training magazine does not pay per diem, honoraria, or expenses to presenters.
  • Proposals should be educational in nature. Sales-oriented proposals will not be accepted.
  • If you are an external consultant/vendor, consider bringing a client as a co-presenter who can address internal considerations.
  • Up to three proposals may be submitted, though doing so does not increase the chances of being selected.
  • Proposals are reviewed by internal and external reviewers.
  • Selected presenters will be notified by mid-August. If you do not receive an email invitation, consider your proposal on the standby list for later consideration if there are changes to the session agenda.
  • We receive far more great proposals than we can accept. If you are not invited to present your proposed session, this does not necessarily mean it received a poor review. However, because we receive hundreds of proposals for each conference, we are unable to provide further feedback about your specific proposal.
NOTE: Proposals can be saved and updated before submission. However, your draft will not be saved until the final step is reached. Therefore, you must enter something in each field before saving your draft ("test" or "TBD" is a sufficient placeholder).
