CALL FOR PRESENTERS — DEADLINE: EXTENDED TO JULY 5 (note, this is a firm deadline)

Thank you for your interest in presenting at Training magazine's Training 2023 Conference & Expo (February 13-15, 2023, Orlando, Florida).

We welcome submissions from in-the-trenches learning professionals, consultants, authors and vendors from corporations, academia, non-profits, government and the military. We look for how-to content, best practices and thought-provoking ideas — all with a focus on how to reach new levels of performance. We challenge you to submit interactive session ideas and demanding content.


Training 2023 Conference & Expo is brought to you by Training — the industry’s leading magazine and your source for professional development. For more than 50 years, Training magazine has advocated corporate learning and workforce enrichment for business results. Training 2023 covers the core areas of workplace learning including: design, development, implementation, assessment, evaluation, management, leadership, engagement, strategy, and learning technologies.

Participants get the theories, the practical how-tos, and hear from companies leading the charge for workplace learning. They learn strategies and best practices for designing, deploying, and managing effective training.


Attendees are organizational learning professionals across all industry sectors including academic institutions, government/military, healthcare, manufacturing, finance, transportation and business services. Attendee titles cover the full spectrum of roles — executives, managers, developers, designers, facilitators and project managers.


  • Primary presenter for each session will receive a complimentary conference registration (value $1,895); up to two co-presenter(s) will receive a 50% conference registration discount. Co-presenter(s) must register for the conference. 
  • Training magazine does not pay per diem, honoraria, or expenses for session presenters.
  • All proposals must be educational in nature. Sales oriented proposals will not be accepted.
  • If you are an external consultant/vendor, consider bringing a client as a co-presenter who can address implementation/ROI issues.
  • Sessions must be engaging and interactive, just like great learning!
  • All steps of the proposal submission process must be completed.
  • Proposals can be saved and edited before your final submission. However, you'll need to enter something (i.e. "test") in each required field in order to progress to the final step where you can save your draft. If you save a draft proposal, you'll receive an email with a link to complete your submission.
  • Up to three proposals may be submitted — though multiple proposals will not necessarily increase your chance of being selected.
  • All proposals will go through a thorough review process with an outside Review Committee.
  • This event will be promoted in printed brochures, on the conference Web site (www.TrainingConference.com), on Training magazine Web site (www.TrainingMag.com), on www.TrainingMagNetwork.com, in Training magazine, in Training Weekly e-newsletter, and via emails to the Training universe of subscribers, attendees and members.
  • Selected presenters will be notified by mid-August 2022. If you are not contacted, your proposal will be placed on a stand-by list and you will be considered as a substitute presenter.


  • Why this session would be of interest to participants and why you are qualified to present the information.
  • Conferences at which you have spoken and if this session in particular has been presented.
  • Your contact info and bio focused on qualifications to present this information.
  • Your LinkedIn URL and links to sample presentations.
  • Session level, intended audience, and content category.
  • Specific, descriptive title which clearly states the benefit of attending (12-word limit).
  • Concise, clear and jargon-free description of the theme/purpose of presentation (150-word limit).
  • Three performance-based learning objectives.
  • A two-sentence synopsis of session.


  • Content offers important, relevant content.
  • Content deals with new trends, tools or strategies for learning.
  • Content is clear, well written and complete.
  • Content clearly shows value.
  • Content is aligned with conference theme of performance improvement.
  • Session showcases a proven, industry-changing example.
  • Session description, title and learning objectives are clearly defined.
  • Session fits with overall need for diversity of content and perspectives.
  • Proposed session will not sell or promote your product or service.
  • Your presentation experience and background will be taken into account.
  • Bonus Points for using good grammar and punctuation.
  • Brownie Points for challenging and creative content.
  • Bonus Brownie Points for clarity and conciseness!
